In the late 18th century, a French expedition, backed by an overseas trading company, ventured into the Langbiang Highlands — a mysterious land yet to appear on the maps of the mainland.
Hidden within this untouched region were shimmering quartz fields, rare medicinal herbs never before classified, and an indigenous culture living in harmony with deep forests, cool streams, sacred rituals, and ancestral legends.
ART & DESIGN
The artistic concept revolves around the hybrid architecture of the “Unfinished Church” — a structure that exists both as a fortified stronghold and the remnant of a cathedral left incomplete.
The design embraces a dramatic contrast between raw stone surfaces, symbolizing the force of occupation, and soaring vaults with expansive skylights, evoking a faith that has been distorted and left unfinished.
The interior design is centered on preserving indigenous memories and human tragedy through refined and thoughtful details.
Displays of shimmering quartz and antique herbal manuscripts within glass cabinets reflect the richness of natural knowledge set against the inevitability of forgetting.
The hotel today is not an erasure of the past, but a quiet continuation — a lingering cycle where aged stone walls silently recount stories of rebellion, unspoken love, and one final truth: the forest belongs to no one.
